Dr. Anne Watson-Russell is a Special Educator, Psycho-educational Consultant,
and a Canadian Professor (UBC and Trent U), who took early retirement to write.
She has published guidebooks for children who are facing court procedures,
one of which was a Canadian bestseller: “So, You Have to Go To Court!
A Guide for Child Witnesses in Sexual Assault Cases” (Butterworths, 1986),
followed by Watson-Russell & Harvey “So, You’ve Been Busted! A Guide for Learning Disabled Students in Trouble With The Law” (Butterworths, 1989).
"The Child You Got" 1997 was her first screenplay -- a test drive for a complex ride called screenwriting. This endeavor was supported by training in how to write a screenplay, including an intensive training week with John Hunter (The Grey Fox).
In 2007 her “Strength-Based IEP’s" came out in "Communique: The Publication of the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario" (Vol. 38, No. 1, 15-16). The Ontario Ministry of Education included strengths thereafter in all Individual Education Plans.
“Uneven Bars” (Canja Productions, 2011) was her first fictionalized book. (Amazon)
This book about a love affair wrecked by Asperger's Syndrome, is not in circulation while undergoing editing for its upcoming screenplay.
"Save the Seven Species" (2012) is a play commissioned by U.S. Aid - Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. [Previous produced plays written by Dr. Watson-Russell include "Moving to Mobay" (2000), "Stiffed!" (1996) and "The Golden Ruler" (1994).]
Neuroscience, quantum physics, and electromagnetic messages are topics in a 2013 market test PDF "From Light", now subsumed within her next book, “Flash! The Science Behind Intuition" (in press, Posthypnotic Press, 2017).
After two years "Wrongful Therapy", the screenplay, is complete and being marketed for production. The underlying theme is defying authority, but in particular, defying experts by creating a therapy for sociopaths that does not criminalize them.
Currently preparing "Uneven Bars" screenplay and collecting data on neuroanatomy and behavior for "We Are All Special Ed."
